When Turkey is cheapest: a month-by-month guide
The same hotel costs differently in July and September. Where the gap comes from, and which month saves money without losing the sea.
What sets the price
Most of a tour price is the flight and the hotel. Both follow one rule: the higher the demand, the higher the price. Demand is driven by school holidays and weather.
Shifting your dates by a single week can therefore change the price by up to a hundred dollars — same hotel, same flight.
Month by month
July–August is the most expensive: school holidays, full hotels, peak heat. If you travel with children and have no choice, these are your months.
June and September are the sweet spot: warm water, bearable heat, prices below peak. Late September is especially good — children are back at school and the beaches empty out.
October is best for adults: the sea is still warm, crowds are gone, prices have dropped. Towards the end of the month some hotels close for the season — check your dates with an operator.
April and May are for sightseeing rather than swimming: cooler water, green landscapes, no heat and low prices.
Winter is not a beach season, but it works for Istanbul: the city, the shopping and the food do not depend on the weather.
How to save
Shift your dates by a week. The price calendar shows the same hotel across different days — Monday is sometimes cheaper than Friday.
Book early. A tour bought before the season starts is usually cheaper, and the choice is wider.
Or the opposite — book late. Unsold places get cheaper close to departure. That is a gamble: less choice, and your hotel may be gone.
Change the resort. If Antalya is pricey, the same level of hotel in Side or Alanya may cost less.
