UAE visa: what an Uzbek citizen needs
Short answer: no advance visa for a tourist trip. But border officers will ask for three things — here they are.
Do you need a visa
No. Uzbek citizens travel to the United Arab Emirates for tourism without a visa — entry is stamped at the airport during passport control. No consulate paperwork, no queues, no fee.
This applies to tourism only. Work, long stays and study require a separate visa, arranged by the employer or the school.
What the border asks for
Have three things ready: your passport, a return ticket and a hotel booking. It is not a formal checklist, but officers may ask — a photo on your phone is enough.
Passport validity matters: at least six months beyond your return. Do not travel on an expiring passport — airlines check this and will not board you.
Children need their own passports. Flying without parents, or with only one, requires notarised consent.
How long you can stay
The tourist permit is granted for a limited period, and that period changes from time to time. Printing an exact number here would be misleading: what is true today may differ in six months.
The right move: once you know your departure date, ask your operator — they check the rule that applies on that day. It takes a minute and saves you trouble at the border.
Things to watch
Insurance is included in the tour price, but check what it covers: most policies exclude injuries sustained riding a motorbike. Planning a quad-bike desert safari? Confirm in advance.
Medicines. Some drugs cannot be brought into the UAE or need a prescription. If you take something regularly, carry a doctor’s note.
Clothing. Cover shoulders and knees in the city; beaches and hotel grounds are relaxed. Not a law — a courtesy locals notice.
